In January 1997, the ‘Ilse Dippmann & Andreas Schnabl Österreichische Frauenlauf GesnbR' was founded with the aim to inspire more women for running and to make the Austrian Women's Run one of the biggest running events in Austria.
With the Austrian Women's Run, the demands grew. The lend-laptop home office developed into a fully functional organization office. Despite or perhaps because of the more family-like corporate structure, the Austrian dm Women's Run, as it is called since 2002, has grown to be the largest women's run in continental Europe and is among the most important women's races in the world.
Since 2001, in addition to the Austrian dm Women's Run, the company is also responsible for the conception, planning and implementation of the Cricket She and He Run it and organizes free woman jogging at over 30 locations throughout Austria.
In January 2010, Ilse Dippmann & Andreas Schnabl Österreichische Frauenlauf GesnbR was reorganized into Österreichische Frauenlauf GmbH.
